My Career
2022
NYC has always been the city where I feel I can be myself. Because everything is aligned on both the personal and the professional side, I decide it’s time for me to go back “home”. I continue to work with my clients as a Consultant, but from NYC.
2021
I decide to leave the agency world for good and resume my activity as a self-employed Consultant. And because I’ve just become a new uncle and that my brother moved back to Provence with his family, I decide to do the same for a year or so. I say Goodbye to grey London and Hello to sunny south of France.
2020
Just like millions of people, I lost my clients during COVID. I reached out to my network and was offered a position as an Account Director within the Labelium UK office (I used to work for Labelium NYC). During this time, I got to manage a team of 7 people and accounts such as Saint Laurent, Interparfums Luxury Brands, Manutan, Sorel, OVHCloud…
2019
The past few months allowed me to spend some time with friends and family and to recharge. I thrive in big cities so I decide to move to London, a compromise that allows me to live the expat life in a big multicultural city, but closer to France (vs NYC). The change of country/city doesn’t impact my work as a self-employed Digital Marketing Consultant or the relationship with my clients, but a global pandemic will soon do so.
2018
For a long time I’ve tried to come up with a solution that uses advertising for good. At first it was a mobile app. Then I pivoted to create a web browser extension: ouiadgood.com. It didn’t find the success I was hoping for, but I’ve learnt a lot from my mistakes and this journey as a solo entrepreneur.
After leaving NYC, I feel the need to get some rest, travel and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I travel with my dad. We visit my brother in Peru. We then go on a road trip in Vietnam where we end our journey by visiting the library established in memory of my mother (my farewell present from Labelium, which was willing to make a donation to Room to Read, a nonprofit I’ve been involved with for a few years). However, while I was travelling, some brands reached out to see if I could help them. So I became a Digital Nomad, onboarding APM Monaco and Hellocare.
I run my first TCS NYC Marathon
I know. This has nothing to do with work, but it shows dedication, grit, commitment… and it’s OK to show off sometimes. 😀 Also, I ran for a charity named Teams For Kids, so it allows me to raise awareness for them too.
I’m a lifelong learner, and because I’m thinking about starting my own business, I decide to enroll with this Online Business Course from Harvard. I learn about Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, Financial Accounting… and pass my exam successfully.
2012
Over the 6 years I spent at Labelium, going from an account manager to Paid Social and Display Director, I got to manage a lot of prestigious accounts: LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Dior), L’Oréal, Christie’s, Penguin Random House, Club Med, Tough Mudder, Sweaty Betty, Vince Camuto… While I was attached to the NYC office, my CEO agreed to let me work remotely (Boston, Santa Monica). My team and most of my clients were based in NYC. This was a great experience that taught me a lot about how to deal with different time zones and manage people remotely.
2010
I finally get to live and work abroad. This has always been a dream of mine. I land a job at ITS Management / Casino Rewards as an online marketing specialist / media buyer within the acquisition team. I learn everything about performance marketing, using Display, Lead Generation, Email Marketing, PPC… focusing mainly on the French and European Markets.
2007
For two and a half years, I am in charge of the website (En, Fr), from the content management, to its promotion, using PPC, Email Marketing, SEO, etc.
2006
2005
My dream has always been to work in the entertainment industry. Well, if I’m honest, to be a TV or Radio host. So instead of being unemployed, I decide to apply for internship positions within the internet divisions of the main French TV channels. That allows me to build my network within the industry, even though I am overqualified and older than most of the employees. It is a humbling and interesting experience. I get to be an intern at France Télévision Interactive, e-TF1 and Air Productions.
2001
I create and update the company websites in French and English.
